Security Tools

This directory lists every utility on PasswordMDP.com. Each tool is built to run entirely in your web browser using JavaScript: the secrets you generate or paste are not sent to our servers for processing, which reduces exposure compared to server-side generators. You can use these tools for everyday account security (new passwords, passphrases, PINs), for development and testing (hashes, Base64, JWT inspection, random tokens), and for quick link hygiene checks before you click or share a URL.

Below, tools are grouped by theme so you can find what you need quickly. Every dedicated page includes a short guide: when to use the tool, common mistakes to avoid, and answers to frequent questions. If you are new here, start with the password generator and the password strength checker, then explore hashing and encoding if you work with APIs or data pipelines.

Choosing the right tool

  • Login credentials: Prefer long, random passwords from the generator, or memorable passphrases where allowed. Use the checker to see weak patterns before you reuse an old password.
  • Cards and device locks: Use the PIN generator with the longest length your system allows; avoid birthdays and simple sequences.
  • Policies and teams: The password policy generator helps draft rules that balance security and usability.
  • Developers: Hashing and Base64 are common in APIs and configs; JWT decode helps debug tokens (never treat decode alone as verification).
  • Links in email or messages: The URL checker highlights HTTPS, length, and other heuristics—it is an aid, not a guarantee a site is legitimate.

Privacy & Security

Core tool logic runs in your browser. We design pages so that passwords, tokens, and pasted text needed for hashing or decoding are processed locally. That limits what could be logged compared to uploading the same data to a remote API.

Third-party scripts (for example analytics or ads) may load on the page under their own policies; details are in our Privacy Policy. For questions or feedback, use the Contact page.
